Used to be notes from family activities. Those can be seen in the archives. Now, it's been revived, temporarily, as kitchen and master bath renovation updates on a 1940s Ohio house for anyone who cares. AKA, how we are spending the kids' college funds.

Summer, day 21
Three weeks have passed since our summer officially began. And I think it's felt like about three weeks, which means my daily posting is working (insert evil laugh here, just because writing that made me think of a witchy bwwaaahh sound). So, speaking of evil witches, The Wizard of Oz was on TV tonight. Actually, it was on Turner Classic Movies, which is one of the bonus channels we get with our $9 cable service. And, I think the real reason my mom agrees to visit us so frequently. But, back to the movie, it was momentous because it was Reece's first time viewing it. Despite the fact that we actually own the movie. Apparently, watching it on broadcast TV when you can't pause, fast forward or rewind it is much more appealing. We hadn't suggested it, because Reece tends to have nightmares if he watches "scary" movies and has never been able to even watch many Disney or Disney-type G-rated movies, so we figured green cackling witches, tornadoes, and flying monkeys were way in the future for him, still. However, he braved the whole movie by his own choice and, as the credits rolled, stated that it was one of his absolute favorite movies, ever. Shows you what we know.
